You don’t have to own equipment to become a member. Most club members rent ski and snowboard equipment.

We are supporting learners by walking them through the MyImpact Challenge.
According to the Bill of Rights Institute website, “MyImpact Challenge gives students a robust understanding of the role of the citizen in civil society by exploring the pillars of citizenship: entrepreneurship, charity, and government.”

- Discovering your passions and turning it into a service project.
- Learners have an opportunity to win $10,000 through the MyImpact challenge.
- The Bill of Rights Institute provides resources through their website with original background essays, guided resources, and rubrics.
- Learners will write a research report on the impacts of their different efforts.

All classes are taught in a group setting by qualified facilitators and/or tutors in an engaging, structured setting.
A La Carte Classes, Registration & DALC Membership
Because classes are provided a la carte, families have the flexibility of participating in as few or as many courses, clubs and/or workshops as they desire. Families are under no obligation to take the full compliment of courses, but instead are able to tailor a schedule to meet your individual learner’s needs.
In order to make our community sustainable there are some fees involved.
DALC MONTHLY TUITION FEE $550 per learner/$750 per family
Below is a sliding scale fee for those who need it. We operate on the honor system.

*Co-Conspirator – non-BIPOC individual/family investing in the work of educating one self in the disparities of BIPOC peoples. Advocates of amplifying BIPOC voices.

Admission is open to teens & young adults ages 13-25. DREAMERS Agile Learning Collective is housed under LHTM which acts as a hybrid; a for-profit & a non-profit type organization.
All school aged teen learners should be enrolled in homeschool or public school to attend.
As SDE learners, we are actively modeling, deschooling, and creating the lives we want with our children.
We are a form of community support service: we are your cheerleaders, walking with you through our courses and our workshops as you learn, set goals, plan, conspire, start businesses and dream big as teens and as young adults.
Before registering your teen/young adult learner in our school, families will need to become a Patreon member for DALC community membership. If the family intends to enroll children at DALC, the community membership and learners enrollment process will take place together. You will receive a link to fill out your online registration. Families will also receive a personal link for entering the virtual community for DALC courses, workshops and event offerings.

DALC is a homeschool learning community of teens, young adults & families where you can build on your interest and skill sets all while being supported with our facilitators and tutors.
Are we a good fit?
Abilities
We focus on serving able bodied children without disabilities. We do have some learners with disabilities, so we are a fit for children who are aware of their disability and want to work toward independence. Children in our space have autism, ADHD, and intellectual disabilities. They are able to use the bathroom on their own and ask for help when needed. They may occasionally feel frustrated, but they have tools to help themselves calm down without hurting others.
Learning
Learning is happening all around us, all the time, and children who are a good fit for our space do not have to like books and worksheets. Learners may like using YouTube or Google to search for things that interest them. Learners are willing to work with a facilitator or alone for short amounts of time without being forced. They may like moving or singing, but they can do so while respecting others’ space. Your learner can tolerate being bored every once in a while. The learner listen to ideas from their parents and facilitators, but ultimately they decide what and how they will learn.
Pint-Sized Groups
Sometimes our DALC learners feel lonely in the space. Children who are a good fit are able to play by themselves or know how to invite others to play with them through tech. We have a wide age range of teen and young adult learners, so they may end up being in community with others who are younger or older. The learner can relate to children with different backgrounds. Learners are flexible about doing a preferred activity later so they can enjoy what is happening at the moment.
Behavior
This is a different environment than public school, so, we don’t assume that teens and young adult learners who act out at school will do so in our space.
The self-directed nature of our space means that facilitators are not with every learner for every minute of the day. Learners who do well are able to resolve conflict with others through virtual communication and/or without yelling or hitting in our in-person space. Learners can find activities to do and clean up after themselves (with reminders). Learners do not lie to or bully others. The learners treat the space with respect and do not destroy or steal materials that are out in the open when in-person. We recommend finding qualified professionals to evaluate and begin treating teens and young adults with a history of abuse or trauma before enrolling them.
